View the series →A private commission for a friend, drawn over the course of a year. He sent me a brain dump of about a hundred words and asked for a piece, anything I wanted to make of it. From that I drew a portrait of him with no face in it at all, carrying forty to fifty references only he would recognize. He asked me not to tell him what they were; he wanted to find them over time.
